Hello and welcome to License Plate Maps. This is the site for license plate maps for your family room, office, pizzeria or childrens' room. It is a great way to teach geography to your kids and makes a great piece of art to go anywhere.

My hobby of collecting old license plates eventually turned into making maps. I enjoy the process of making these maps, deciding such things as what color California plate would go best next to the blue Nevada plate? And will this color go well next to the Oregon plate? My goal is to always use a couple of plates that the viewer's eye will go right to. For me it is important for a map to have personality, like the year of issue, color. Using the state nickname instead of state name and a little rust is ok, too. All maps are made at the place where I used to park my car, my garage is filled with plates and all kinds of products and tools that I never really knew existed or would ever have thought of using before.
